The nurse call slave unit includes: a seating detection part 3 for detecting seating on a toilet seat; and a usage detection part 4 for detecting the usage of toilet paper. When the seating on the toilet seat by the patient is continuously detected by the seating detection part 3 and also the usage of the toilet paper is detected by the usage detection part 4, a call signal is outputted. Consequently, the calling is performed by determining that the toilet paper is used after a prescribed time elapses after the patient is seated on the toilet seat in a bathroom. Since the patient uses the toilet paper with a high probability after the termination of the passage, the calling for indicating that the patient terminates the defecation is performed at a possibly correct timing.
