To provide a nurse call system in which not only a medical emergency but also an emergency of fire, or the like, can be dealt with without requiring special training by indicating the information capable of pinpointing the location of the emergency of fire, or the like, on a nurse call master unit with which an attendant is well acquainted.

A nurse call master unit 11 has a large number of operation indicating cells 15 corresponding to respective nurse call slave units and the operation indicating cells 15 are provided with individual fire indicating lamps 17. The nurse call master unit 11 receives a fire warning signal outputted from a fire alarm system upon occurrence of fire, specifies an operation indicating cell 15 corresponding to a nurse call slave unit closest to a fire warning sensor based on identification information inherent to the fire warning sensor included in the fire warning signal, and controls the indication mode of the fire indicating lamp 17 of a specified operation indicating cell 15 to a specified alarm indication state.
