A nurse call system includes a bed leaving sensor 1 detecting the patient getting down from a bed, and a radio apparatus 2 put on the patient and having a built-in acceleration sensor for detecting acceleration that shows the degree of movement of the patient. When the acceleration sensor detects acceleration after the bed leaving sensor 1 detects the patient getting down from the bed, it is determined that the patient has fallen down in the state of standing on the floor after getting down from the bed, and it is automatically recorded that the reason for notification is falling-down. When the bed leaving sensor 1 detects the patient getting down from the bed after the acceleration sensor 1 detects acceleration, it is determined that the patient reached the floor after falling off the bed, and it is automatically recorded that the reason for notification is falling-off.
