To solve the problem that a hall light can call out only one fixed nurse-call parent machine in a conventional nurse-call system, and to enable a patient room to be temporarily managed by another nurse-call parent machine depending on the increase/decrease of the number of patients for each medical specialty.
On a hall light, a switching switch for being connected with an arbitrary one from among a plurality of nurse-call parent machines is installed. Then, a dummy communication apparatus is connected with a nurse-call parent machine on the side with which the hall light has not been connected. Thus, the periodical diagnosis by the nurse-call parent machine is suppressed, or the result information of the periodical diagnosis is transferred to another nurse-call information to increase the degree of freedom in the connection of the hall light.
