To provide a nut holding tool for pipe material capable of arranging a nut on an inner surface of the pipe material incapably of rotation with a simple operation in order to make the setting a bolt from the outer surface side of the pipe material possible.
A nut holding tool 10 for pipe material comprises a freely elastically deformable columnar body 1 formed of a retainer recessed part 2 on at least one side edge surface 1a, to which a hexagonal 11 is freely fitted, wherein, while a part of the hexagon nut 11 is fitted into a holding tool recessed part 2, the columnar body 1 is elastically compressed in the axial direction and is inserted into a pipe material 30 and, on a position of a pipe material recessed part 33a which is formed on an inner surface of the pipe material 30 and causes the hexagonal nut 11 to thrust incapably of rotation thereinto, an elastic compression is reduced and, thereby, a part of the hexagonal nut is caused to thrust into the pipe recessed part 33a incapably of rotation and is retained incapably of drawing there.
