PURPOSE: To isolate a screw member from an object in the vicinity of this fastener when mounted on a panel member in a nut plate fastener.

CONSTITUTION: This nut plate fastener 10 retains a screw inserted through an aperture formed in a panel. A double-sided adhesive tape is adhered to one side surface of the fastener 10 to mount in the panel aperture. The nut plate fastener 10 consists of an integral member, and has a bottom plate 14 having a cone-shaped ring-liked raised screw impression 24 to receive and retain the screw and a top plate 18 connected to the bottom plate 14. The screw when in a fastened position is confined between the top plate 18 and the bottom plate 14 so as to be isolated from an object arranged in the panel and adjacent to the nut plate fastenet 10. Three tabs 28a, 28b, 28c project from a bottom surface of the bottom plate 14 by penetrating through the tape which center the fastener 10 in the panel aperture.
