Title:
NUT WITH SHEARING LAG PREVENTING FUNCTION AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR IT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3624399
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent fatigue and looseness of a fastening body by uniformizing the stress concentration for a bolt and a nut by solving the problem that large stress due to shear lag is concentrated in a screw bottom part of the bolt corresponding to the bottom of the nut, which is a portion of the standard bolt and nut fastening body and is proved to be frequently broken according to elasticity analysis and experiments.
SOLUTION: A shear lag theory is applied to an engagement part, whereby the sectional forms of the bolt and the nut are obtained so that the shearing stress portion acting on the thread ridge is made uniform.
