Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nylon-threaded semi-rimless spectacle frame which holds lenses using a half-rim with a horizontal string coupled to two ends thereof.SOLUTION: A half-rim 2 has a concave groove 9 formed along an inner periphery thereof, and a fitting groove 10 wider than the concave groove 9 formed at each tip end. A ball 8 formed by heating a tip of a horizontal string 7 that is fitted into a concave groove on an outer circumference of each lens is fitted into the fitting groove 10, and a portion of the concave groove 9 in each section from the fitting groove 10 to the tip of the half-rim is swaged from both sides of the groove to prevent the horizontal string 7 from coming loose.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
