Abstract:

NEW MATERIAL: A compound of formula I (R is C4-6 t-alkyl, halogen, phenyl, aryl or the like; X is C=O, CHOH or a derivative thereof; Yis H, C1-9 alkyl, halogen, aryl or the like; n is 1-5), a salt thereof, and a metal complex compound thereof.

EXAMPLE: 1-(4-Chlorophenoxy)-1-(1-oxy-1,2,4-triazole)-3,3-dimethyl-butan-2-one.

USE: Fungicides. Particularly having superior activity to ascomycetes and basidiomycetous.

PROCESS: 1-Hydroxy-1,2,4-thiazole and a compound of formula II are reacted in a solvent such as THF or the like in the presence of a base (example; triethylamine) at 0-100°C, to prepare the compound of formula I.
