PURPOSE: To increase the strength of an oar and shape the oar to easily capture water by constitute an oar blade from front and rear leathers and an oar shaft holding portion connected to either of the front or rear leather.

CONSTITUTION: An oar blade is constituted from front and rear leathers 21, 22 and an oar shaft holding portion 23, and a space 28 is formed between both leathers. The space 28 may be filled with foamed plastics. The oar shaft holding portion 23 is connected to the rear leather 22 through a connecting piece 27. By such connection between the oar shaft holding portion and leather is increased the strength of the blade and provided a curved shape of the blade to easily capture water.
