Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object detection device for highly accurately calculating a predicted relative position and a predicted relative velocity of a target object when an own vehicle accelerates/decelerates, or when a turning angular velocity changes.SOLUTION: A relative position/velocity calculation part 2 calculates a relative position and a relative velocity of a target object on the basis of a signal from a radio wave transmission/reception part 1, and a prediction part 5 predicts, from a previously calculated track of the target object, a relative position and a relative velocity of the track by using outputs of an acceleration sensor 6 and a yaw rate sensor 7, and a correlation part 3 determines the presence/absence of correlation between the predicted relative position and relative velocity and the newly calculated relative position and relative velocity of the target object. When there exists correlation, the track is updated by the newly calculated relative position and relative velocity of the target object, and when there exists no correlation, the newly calculated relative position and relative velocity of the target object are stored in a track storage part 4 as a new track by a track update part 8.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
