Abstract:

To provide an object detection device and an object detection method that can properly perform tracking processing of objects detected from captured images.SOLUTION: An object detection device 11 includes: an object detection unit 111 that acquires a captured image captured by an image capturing unit 12 from the image capturing unit 12 that captures an image of the outside of a vehicle, and detects an object present in the captured image; a determination unit 112 that determines a collision risk level indicating a high risk of collision between the vehicle and the object; and a tracking processor 113 that selects a tracking method having tracking performance based on the collision risk level of the object, and performs tracking processing of the object using the selected tracking method.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
