Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object detection device which offers both an increased detectable distance to an object and higher (measurement point) density in a vertical direction in a light irradiation area.SOLUTION: A laser radar used as an object detection device includes a light source 21, a light source drive unit, a coupling lens, a light-receiving lens, a photoreceiver, a photoreception timing detection unit, and an object information acquisition unit. The light source 21 has a plurality of light-emitter groups (G(1, 1)-F(12, 16)), each comprising a plurality of light-emitters. The plurality of light-emitter groups are arranged in a matrix along a Y-axis and Z-axis. The object information acquisition unit causes the plurality of light-emitter groups to sequentially turn on and off independently from each other through the light source drive unit, and derives distance information to an object with each light-emitter group on the basis of timing at which the light-emitter group is turned on and timing at which the light is received by the photoreceiver. The object information acquisition unit derives position information of the object on the basis of the distance information to the object with each light emitter group.
