To provide an object detector capable of certainly detecting two objects even when a low reflectivity object exists near a high reflectivity object.
A laser radar device 7 detects the position and distance of the object from the obtained received wave, detects an object whose light received amount is higher than a threshold Eth, generates high reflectivity object position data, and transmits it to an image processor 8 (S101-S107). The image processor 8 maps the position of the high reflectivity object on image data, and sets a predetermined region around the position as the center in a local image region (S201-S203). The image processor 8 performs pattern matching processing of detecting the low light reflectivity object in the local image processing region (S204). The image processor 8 individually identifies the detected low light reflectivity object and high reflectivity object (S205-S208).
