PURPOSE: To reduce the resonance by constituting a device with a holder to which an object lens is fixed, a base, and ≥4 metallic wires which have one ends fixed to the holder and have the other ends fixed to the base and are parallel with one another.
CONSTITUTION: Both ends of a driving coil 3 in the focus direction and those of a driving coil 4 in the tracking direction are soldered onto a print board 7 and are connected electrically to metallic wires 6 through a copper foil of the print board 7. When a current is supplied to lead wires 12, the current is flowed to the driving coil 3 in the focus direction or the driving coil 4 in the tracking direction through metallic wires 6, and a holder 2 and an object lens 1 are moved in the focus direction or the tracking direction by the electromagnetic action of this current and a magnet 11. Since the driving coil in the focus direction and that in the tracking direction are supported by the same metallic wires, compliances in both directions are equal to each other, and therefore, the device is driven with the same quantity of power in both directions.
