Abstract:
PURPOSE:To decrease the object selecting time according to the connotative relation based on the inclusion relation of a rectangle which is monopolized by an object displayed on a CRT. CONSTITUTION:An object selection request 11 is sent to an object selection indicating means 1 of an object selector from outside. Thus a new object selecting means 7 executes an object selection routine. The present position of a cursor displayed on a display device is stored to a cursor position memory means 2 and then given to the means 7. The cursor is changed by a change memory means. A selection means can give an access to an object list memory means 4 which stores the an object displayed on the display device by rectangle connotative relation as a pointer list. Then a cursor connotative relation deciding device 5 discriminate whether or not the object rectangle involves the cursor from the position of the cursor and the coordinates of the lower left and right apexes. If the object involves the cursor, the object involving said object is detected by a detecting means 8 for object involving said object and supplied to the means 7.
