When mixed fluid flows down in a transportation pipe 20, a forcedly opening and closing valve 24 is quickly closed to cause water hammer phenomenon in the transportation pipe 20. A pressure relief valve 22 is opened to let pressure on the upstream side more than the forcedly opening and closing valve 24 escape into a pressure adjustment tank 18, and a plug stream is generated in the transportaion pipe 20 on the downstream side more than the forcedly opening and closing valve 24. Then, steam and pressurized gas are supplied into the pressure adjustment tank 18, and mixed fluid in the pressure adjustment tank 18 is fed into the transportation pipe 20 through a first communicating pipe 26 to reduce water level in the pressure adjustment tank 18. Next, steam is introduced into the transportation pipe 20, and then a second opening and closing valve 29 is closed and the forcedly opening and closing valve 24 is quickly opened to let mixed fluid flow onto the downstream side and condense steam in the transportation pipe 20. Pressure in the transportation pipe 20 is made negative pressure, and mixed fluid rises in the transportation pipe 20 to restore water level in order to enable transportation to a further remote place.
