As a biological sensor unit 11 for detecting heart beats in the biological information of the occupant of the vehicle, a occupant condition detecting apparatus 10 comprises: a plurality of first vibration sensors 14, ..., 14 arranged in the seat cushion 13 of a vehicle seat 12; a plurality of second vibration sensors 16, ..., 16 arranged in a seat back 15; a pressure-sensitive element 17 for converting pressure detection signals, which are outputted from the respective vibration sensors 14, 16, into voltage signals; and a processor 18. The signal processing part 21 of the processor 18 generates difference data between the frequency component of appropriate analysis object data in the first vibration sensors 14 and the frequency component of appropriate analysis object data in the second vibration sensors 16 so as to remove the difference data from the frequency components of the whole analysis object data in the first vibration sensors 14.
