To provide an occupant protection device for directly restraining the upper half of an occupant's body without imparting unnatural feeling due to fitting of a belt and complication of seat belt attaching/detaching workability to the occupant, and stably moving or inclining the upper half of the body to a vehicle center side at a lateral side collision, regardless of the physique and sitting position of the occupant.
This occupant protection device 100 includes the three-point type seat belt 180 extended from the vicinity of the shoulder on a vehicle side wall side to the vicinity of the waist at the vehicle inside and from the vicinity of the waist at the vehicle inside to the vicinity of the waist on the vehicle side wall side, of a seat back 124 on which the occupant 130 sits, and the seat belt 110 for the breast extended from the vicinity of the breast on the vehicle side wall side to the vicinity of the waist at the vehicle inside. The seat belt 110 has a retractor 140 for the breast capable of moving or inclining the upper half of the body of the occupant 130 to the vehicle center side by taking up the seat belt 110 when the vehicle collides from the lateral side.
