Abstract:
To provide an occupant crash protection system capable of securely and effectively constraining an occupant by using a shoulder air bag.SOLUTION: An occupant crash protection system 11 includes: a side air bag device 14 having a first inflator 19 and a side air bag 18 deployed and inflated toward a front side of a vehicle on a lateral side of an occupant P seated on a seat 12 in a cabin by using pressure of gas supplied from the first inflator 19; and a shoulder air bag device 15 having a second inflator 25 and a shoulder air bag 24 deployed and inflated downwardly along an upper surface of a shoulder and a breast part of the occupant P from a rear side of a head part of the occupant P by using pressure of gas supplied from the second inflator 25. The side air bag 18 includes a support inflation part 27 bent to the occupant P side when inflated to support the shoulder air bag 24 in the inflated state from the front side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
