PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of various kinds of trouble caused by oscillation during acceleration/deceleration and obtain the optimum thickness unevenness moderating effect by controlling the reciprocating speed performed by an oscillation device into the speed proportional to the sheet material conveying speed.
CONSTITUTION: Oscillation for moderating the unevenness of film thickness in raw material 2 is performed by reciprocating a winding-out frame 15 by a hydraulic cylinder 17. In the speed control of this oscillation, the oscillation speed Vo proportional to the film carrier speed Vc detected from the speed of a guide roll 5 and the like is set previously, so that the oscillation speed Vo corresponding to the detected speed Vc is read out and set as the command value of the oscillation speed at that time. The position in the film width direction is detected by a magnetic scale 23, and the actual oscillation speed is computed on the basis of the difference between the present detection value and the preceding detection value. Solenoid flow control valves S1, S2 then control in such a way that actual oscillation speed coincides with the command value.
