Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make it possible to catch the source of odor generated when a number of fried foodstuffs are continuously cooked so as to prevent the penetration indoor, by installing an odor prevention element made of paper and provided with a plurality of fine pores inside a box member having an inlet on one end an outlet on the other end.

CONSTITUTION: A box member 22 is provided with an inlet 26 on one end and an outlet 27 on the other end. It comprises a first chamber 31 formed between the inlet 26 and an odor prevention element 23 and a second chamber 32 formed between the outlet 27 and the odor prevention element 23. The odor prevention element 23 is provided with a large number of fine pores 33 which adjoin with each other. When a blower 43 fixed to a bottom plate 56 of a main body 3 is driven, the air prevailing above a fry pan 17 is discharged outside the main body 3 as indicated in the arrow by way of a ventilation passage including a duct 41, the box member 22, and an additional chamber 42. The source of odor generated in the fry pan 17 during cooking is adhered to the odor prevention element 23 so that most of the odor generating substances may be caught and removed.
