Abstract:
To provide a novel odorizing compsn.
This compsn. contains a compd. represented by the formula the broken line means an optionally added bond; X and Y are each optionally methylated metalylene or 2-12C polyethylene; and A is H or methyl when the compd. is unsatd. and A is methyl when the compd. is satd. provided when A is H, then at least 80% of the unsatd. compd. is in the cis-form and when A is methyl, then at least 50% of the unsatd. compd. is in the cis-form or a mixture thereof and further contains a 15- to 17-membered macrocyclic compd. excluding Z-oxacyclopentadaca-6-en-2-one (15-membered ring), Z- oxacycloheptadeca-8-en-2-one (17-membered ring), and z-oxacycloheptadeca-11- en-2-one (17-membered ring).
