Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method for isolating oenotheine B and a novel application method as a medicine.
CONSTITUTION: Oenotheine B is produced by extracting the same from Epirobium Palbifluorum (Onagraceae) by water or a water/water miscible solvent mixture, and defining the structure thereof. Then, the pharmacological effect thereof is discussed. Oenotheine B is used as a medicine for treating diseases related to hyperandrogenism.
