Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take out only a work needing special machining from a line once when there is a need for special machining only on a partially limited work of all works flowing over a line, return the work to the line after necessary machining is effected at an off-line and continue remaining machining, and besides to execute machining of other works without any trouble and without stopping the line during this period. SOLUTION: In a metal machining line 80 over which machining is automatically effected according to a plurality of machining processes by marking ID on respective works, when a work 2 needing machining not contained in the machining processes flows to this machining stage, the ID on the work 2 is preserved in a position 6 where the work is taken out to an off-line. After machining 100 on the work 2 taken out to the off-line is completed, the reserved ID is marked, in correspondence, on the work 2 in a position 8 where the work is returned to the line, and the work is returned to the line. Based on the ID, remaining machining of the line is executed.
