Abstract:
To provide an on-off valve which enables smooth opening/closing operation of a handle and also enables a user to visually check if the handle is locked in an open position or a closed position.SOLUTION: A body 10 has a protruding part protruding horizontally from a side surface. A handle 20 has a through hole which passes through an area above the protruding part of the body during rotation and opens at its end part to a side part of the protruding part of the body in an open position or a closed position. A lock member 30 can rotate to an upper surface side of the handle, is pivotally supported so as to enable vertical movement, and has a claw part which can penetrate through the through hole to a lower surface side to engage with the through hole and contact with the side part of the protruding part of the body in the open position or the closed position, at one end. The structure allows a ball valve incorporated in the body to be opened or closed by rotational operation of the handle and can restrict rotation of the handle with the lock member in the open position or the closed position. Upper surfaces of the lock member and the handle are provided with marked lines which become continuous with each other on a straight line when the claw part engages with the through hole to allow a user to visually check a handle lock state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
