PURPOSE: To improve an efficiency of business and enable punching in a predetermined position by disposing a punch unit in a paper sheet feeding path of an office apparatus.

CONSTITUTION: A punch unit 10 corresponding to the side end of a paper sheet 1 is disposed between sheet feeding means 4. This punch unit 10 is composed of a punch body 12 provided with a groove 11 through which the sheet 1 passes and a punch 13 inserted vertically movably above the groove 11 in the punch body 12. A die hole 14 is provided below the groove 11. A solenoid 15 is secured fixedly to the upper surface of the punch body 12 and the movable part of the solenoid 15 is connected to the punch 13. A sensor 16 for detecting the sheet 1 is provided above a path of the sheet 1 near the punch unit 10. The solenoid 15 is driven in timing determined by a calculation control section, i.e., when a punched hole is needed, operational timing is determined by the sheet size and the detecting signal of the sensor 16.
