PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a blanket cylinder from being stained and damaged by a method wherein an image, which is printed through the blanket surface of the blanket cylinder, can be changed without stopping the rotation of the blanket cylinder at its printing position.
SOLUTION: In order to realize a non-stop changing of printing images, plate cylinders 21 and 22 are alternately positioned to their transferring positions to a blanket cylinder 11 under rotation at its printing position. Similarly, by alternately positioning plate cylinders 23 and 24 to their transferring positions to a blanket cylinder 12 under rotation at its printing position, the non-stop changing of the printing images are realized. In this case, to the plate cylinders 21 and 22, printing plates, onto which printing images different from each other are applied, are installed. Similarly, to the plate cylinders 23 and 24, printing plates, onto which printing images different from each other are applied, are installed. In order to realize the above-mentioned changing of the printing images, the actuations of driving motors as plate cylinder driving means and of link mechanisms 25 as the attaching and detaching displacing mechanism are controlled.
