To incorporate a printing image quality of a practical level having high identifiability between an image part and a non-image part of a printed surface and to repeatedly use an original plate for printing by simple plate- making without necessity of an alkaline developer.
The offset printing method comprises the steps of emitting a master for printing constituted of a heat responsive substance having a photocatalytic capability such as a titanium oxide, a zinc oxide or the like on a surface with an active light to make the surface hydrophilic, then drawing an image in a heat mode at a hydrophobic developing temperature (50 to 250°C) to form a hydrophobic image area, and receiving a printing ink on the area. The printer for the method is provided. Further, a method for reusing the master comprises the steps of cleaning and removing the ink retaining on a printed surface of the printing plate, and again using the master. Particularly, the image is formed in the presence of a volatile organic compound to improve a printing quality.
