Abstract:
To provide an oil-absorbable sheet base material which is light, has excellent carriability and excellent absorbability for oils flowed out on water surfaces, ground surfaces, paved roads, floors, and the like, can quickly prevent environmental pollutions, and can make it possible to visually confirm the absorption of oil, and to provide an oil-absorbing material using the oil-absorbable sheet base material.
This oil-absorbable fine porous polypropylene sheet for selectively absorbing oils is characterized by having a porosity of 30 to 95%, a light oil absorption of ≥1 g per g of the sheet, and a light oil retention of ≥60% at the passage of one hour after the absorption of the light oil.
