To provide an oil applicator for wheels of a locomotive within premises by which lubricating oil can be applied in a railway curved line part without causing idle rotation and sliding of the wheels due to application of lubricating oil when raining, a railway curved line part detecting means can be attained with a simple constitution, and application failure due to dust sticking at a spray nozzle or an oil application wheel can be eliminated.
The oil applicator for applying lubricating oil to the wheels of the locomotive in the premises constituted of an air driving type pump 13, lubricating oil discharging tubes 15L, 15R discharging the lubricating oil discharged from the air driving type pump 13 to the flange parts of the wheels, a rain sensor 20, a detecting rod, and an access sensor has a curve sensor 21 detecting the curved line part of the railway, and a control means 17, 18 carrying out control feeding compressed air to the air driving type pump 13 only in the case there is no input of a rain detecting signal from the rain sensor 20 and there is input of a railway curved line part detecting signal from the curve sensor 21.
