To provide oil-base ink for an inkjet printer in which a colorant is homogeneously dispersed in a fine particle state and which is excellent in dispersion stability of a colorant dispersion, has high ejecting stability, causing no clogging at a nozzle section, and is excellent in dryability on a recording paper, water resistance and light fastness of a recorded image, and scratch resistance.
Colored resin particles are produced by dispersion polymerization, in the presence of a polymerization initiator, of a dispersion containing at least one monofunctional monomer (A), at least monofunctional monomer (B) which is copolymerizable therewith and has a silicon atom-and/or fluorine atom-ontaining substituent, and seed particles comprising fine coloring component particles obtained by finely dispersing, in a non-aqueous solvent, a coloring component obtained by the surface treatment of a colorant. The colored resin particles thus produced are incorporated into the oil-base ink composition for inkjet printers or into the electrophotographic liquid developer.
