To provide the use of an oil body and its associated protein as an affinitive matrix for separating and recovering a target molecule from a sample.

A composition contains the oil body, a ligand attached to an oil body protein, oleosin, and the sample containing the target molecule, wherein the target molecule is intended to be isolated or separated from the sample and binds to the ligand molecule in the oil body.
