Title:
OIL CLEANER FOR ELECTRICAL DISCHARGE MACHINING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS60248795
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: Fine particles of metals in waste oil are removed by adsorption, centrifugation, filter press, etc. step by step, finally a trace amount of metal powder of finest particle sizes remaining is recovered by means of static oil cleaner to clean oil with saved costs and working space.

CONSTITUTION: Waste machine oil containing fine metallic particles suspending is sent from the oil tank 1 for the discharge machine to waste oil tank 2 where the oil is stirred together with activated clay and kieseguhr into a homogeneous state to effect the adsorption of the metal. Then, the oil is pumped to heater 3 where heated up to 80°C and centrifuged in the device 4 to remove the remaining metallic particles. The oil is sent to the first preparation tank 5 where the remaining particles are removed with the filter press 6, then sent to the second preparation tank 7. Then, the oil is passed through the static oil cleaner 8 to remove particles of no more than 0.1μm sizes.
