Title:
OIL-COOLED COMPRESSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5888489
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent drain from being collected in an oil separating oil tank by opening a blowoff valve for a prescribed period of time, i.e., from the starting of a compressor to the time oil temperature exceeds the dew point thereof and bleeding the blowoff valve of drain within the oil separating trank by means of an air current.

CONSTITUTION: In an early stage of the starting of a compressor, the temperature of oil within an oil separating tank 7 has been got cold to the temperature not much exceeding the room temperature, so that the compressed air discharged into the oil separating tank 7 is chilled to generate drain. But, a blowoff valve 23 is opened for a prescribed period of time set by a timer, i.e., until oil temperature within the oil separating tank exceeds the dew point, so that compressed air discharged into the oil separating tank 7 is, after passing through a filter 8, blown off into a suction piping 3 via a blowoff piping 25, a blowoff valve 23, a throttle valve 26. Consequently, the drain generated within the oil separating trunk 7 is carried away by a blown air current, so that it is possible to prevent drain from being collected in the oil separating tank 7.
