Abstract:
To improve volumetric efficiency by reducing the quantity of oil to be supplied to a shaft seal of an oil-cooled screw compressor.SOLUTION: In a shaft seal 14 configured by providing an oil seal 50 in a clearance gap between a drive shaft 33 which extends inside and outside of a casing, and a shaft hole 132, an oil supply/discharge flow passage 60 is formed for introducing a lubricant to a side part of a seal lip 52 of the oil seal 50 at the machine inside and collecting the introduced lubricant to the side of a rotor chamber 113. At least a portion of the oil supply/discharge flow passage 60 is defined by an outer peripheral surface of the drive shaft 33 in the vicinity of a position with which the seal lip 52 is brought into slide contact, e.g., of the drive shaft 33 which is positioned at the machine inside with respect to the slide contact position. A heat dissipation part 35 with which ruggedness for heat dissipation is formed is provided on a surface of the portion defining the oil supply/discharge flow passage 60 in the drive shaft 33, thereby improving heat exchangeability, and a screw compressor can be cooled with a little lubricant.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
