Title:
OIL COOLING DEVICE OF ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01271611
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To confirm whether a flow of oil in an oil cooling chamber is suitable or not so as to prevent it from overheating by providing a means to detect oil pressure in at least one of compressed oil delivery pipe, oil cooling chamber and oil cooler. CONSTITUTION:A piston type oil detection gauge 21 is fixed free to slide up and down on an oil detection gauge insertion port 5 connected through to an oil cooling chamber 3. At the vertical center of the oil detection gauge insertion port 5, an oil outlet 25 is laterally provided, and an oil pressure sensor 6 is inserted a little lower than the oil outlet 25. Consequently, when the oil detection gauge 21 is pushed down to the lowest limit A and the oil pressure sensor 6 works, the flow of oil in the oil cooling chamber 3 is normal, and if it does not work, it is possible to confirm whether oil is not flowing smoothly from the oil outlet 25 to an oil cooler 15 and whether the amount of oil in the oil cooling chamber 3 is not enough at the time of starting. Additionally, if the oil pressure sensor 6 works without the push-down operation of the oil detection gauge 21, it is possible to detect disorders such as clogging on the down-stream side from the oil cooling chamber 3.
