Title:
OIL DAMPER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61282637
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To stabilize the damping characteristics of an oil damper by forming an orifice by means of both a damping orifice, whose end is open to a pressure- oil-generating pressure chamber, and an oil-discharging chamber in such a manner that the latter two cross each other at right angles. CONSTITUTION:A piston 21 is provided with a damping orifice 22, whose one end is open to a pressure chamber 10, and an oil discharging orifice 23, to which the other end of the orifice 22 is open and is connected and whose diameter is greater than that of the orifice 22 and moreover whose ends are open to a low pressure chamber 11. Thus, since damping oil 6 in the low pressure chamber is not mixed with air, when a piston 21 returns within a short time after its operation there will be no chance for the air-mixed-damping oil to return into the pressure chamber 10, thereby stabilizing the damping characteristics.
