Title:
OIL DETERIORATION DETERMINATION DEVICE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE HAVING BLOWBY GAS REDUCTION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2006274931
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an oil deterioration determination device for an internal combustion engine having a blowby gas reduction device, for determining a deterioration state of engine oil based on generation of gas in a crankcase.

In oil deterioration determination device, an ECU executes a program including: a step S100 detecting throttle opening; a step S110 detecting an engine speed; a step S130 selecting a map 2 if an oil deterioration suppression control is under execution (YES in step S120); a step S140 selecting a map 1 if the oil deterioration suppression control is not under execution (NO in step S120); a step S150 calculating nitrogen oxide concentration; a step S160 calculating carbon dioxide concentration; and a step S190 executing an oil deterioration alarm processing if a state where the nitrogen oxide concentration or carbon dioxide concentration is higher than an alarm threshold value has been continued for a predetermined time (YES in a step S170 and YES in a step S180).
