PURPOSE: To separate and recover oils fats in sooty smoke efficiently and to obtain an oil and fat removing apparatus with small ventilation resistance by utilizing centrifugal force produced by giving whirling flow to the sooty smoke passing the oil and fat removing apparatus.

CONSTITUTION: In the inside of a cylindrical body 18a whose both ends are opened, a plurality of blades 20a, 21a which are inclined to a prescribed direction against a perpendicular plane to a supporting pole 19a, set inparallel to an axial center almost perpendicular to both open planes of the cylindrical body 18a, are set radiately from the supporting pole 19a. Thus, utilizing centrifugal force produced by giving whirling flow to sooty smoke passing an oil and fat removing apparatus, oils and fats in the sooty smoke are efficiently separated and recovered and consequently an oil and fat removing apparatus with low ventilation resistance is obtained.
