To provide a bearing free from any seizure between a sleeve and a bushing when a roll is rotated by providing at least one oil pad on a central portion of an upper or lower inner surface of the bushing in the axial direction of the roll, and providing at least one oil pad respectively on each side in the circumferential direction across the oil pad of the inner surface of the bushing.

High-pressure lubricating oil is fed to a lower oil pad 5 through oil holes 6, 7 when a reinforcement roll is started, and fed to oil pads 5a, 5b through other oil holes 6a, 7a, 6b, 7b. When the axis of the reinforcement roll is deviated to, for example, the left side of the perpendicular axis of a bushing 4a, the clearance between the left and lower oil pads 5b, 5 and an outer surface of a sleeve 2 is smaller than that between the right oil pad 5a and the outer surface of the sleeve 2. Thus, the reinforcement roll is raised upward diagonally to the right, a clearance is generated between an inner surface of the bushing 4a and the outer surface of the sleeve 2 to prevent the seizure. When the specified number of revolution of the roll is obtained, the high-pressure lubricating oil is switched to the low-pressure lubricating oil.
