Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the outflow of oil from a base opening end in replacing an oil filter by the simple constitution.
SOLUTION: A housing is provided with a cap 2, a base 1 with a storage section for the cap 2 and a sealing means for sealing an area between the cap 2 and the base 1, and a drain port 11 is formed on the open side of the sealing means on the base 1. At the time of operating an engine, the cap 2 and the base 1 are sealed before the drain 11, and oil is not flowed into the drain port 11. When the cap 2 is loosened at the time of replacement of the oil filter, the sealing between the cap 2 and the base 1 is released, and the oil in the cap 2 is flowed out of the drain port 11. As the oil can be drained out of the drain port 11, the outflow of oil from the opening end of the storage section of the base 1 can be prevented at the time of replacement of the oil filter.
