The oil-in-water type cleansing cosmetic contains components (A)-(C), wherein (A) is a higher alcohol-modified siloxane compound expressed by general formula (1), (B) is N-alkyloyl-N-methyl taurine salt, and (C) is oil in liquid form at 25°C (In the formula, R₁ represents independently a 1-10C alkyl group, an aryl group, or OH group, and R₂ represents a divalent 10-30C hydrocarbon group).
