Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil-in-water type lubrication fluid having a small grain size for being used in steel cold rolling.SOLUTION: Provided is an oil-in-water type lubrication fluid used in steel cold rolling. The fluid has a grain size of 1 μm or less, and comprises an oil-in-water type emulsion of an oil phase and water, where the oil phase includes: at least one kind of polymer surfactant in about 5 to about 40 wt.%; a base oil in about 25 to about 95 wt.%; an extreme pressure lubricant additive in about 0.2 to about 10 wt.%; and the other functional additive in about 0.5 to about 6 wt.%. The method for subjecting a steel to cold rolling includes a step of lubricating the steel with the oil-in-water type lubrication fluid.
