Abstract:

To provide an oil mist catching device provided, for example, in an engine of an automobile and capable of catching and collecting oil mist in blowby gas in the engine.

The whole oil mist catching device has a cylindrical shape. Discharge equivalent to glow discharge is caused by arranging a plurality of cylindrical discharge chambers in parallel. A gas supply cylindrical space for supplying blowby gas in the direction of upper part is provided in a cylindrical central part. A group of cylindrical discharge chambers are provided by arranging the plurality of cylindrical discharge chambers along the outer periphery of the gas supply cylindrical space. Each cylindrical discharge chamber is mechanically supported up and down by including a negative needle electrode.
