Title:
OIL PAN STRUCTURE FOR ROTARY PISTON ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04132866
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the mounting rigidity strength of an engine mount as sealing ability is improved by forming a recessed part, dent upward by using a plate part, in an oil pan positioned facing the under surface of the rear part of a housing, and arranging an engine mount to the recessed part.

CONSTITUTION: A plate part 43 of an oil pan 41 is positioned facing the under surface of a rear housing 5, and a recessed part 51 dent upwardly by using the plate part 43 is formed in the oil pan 41. An engine mount 52 to support a rotary piston engine E to a car body is located in the recessed part 51, and the engine mount 52 is fixed to the under surface of the rear housing 5 with the plate part 43 of the oil pan 41 therebetween. Since the plate part 43 is formed to the rear end part of the oil pan 41, sealing ability of the oil pan 41 to the under surface of the rear part of the housing can be improved, and since the engine mount 52 is located in the recessed part 51, rigidity strength of a coupling part 46 is effectively improved.
