To provide oil passage connecting structure for an automatic transmission capable of easily detecting a failure that an O-ring is left as it is not assembled.
A case oil passage 21 is formed with a large diameter part 23, and the O-ring 25 is fitted in the large-diameter part 23, and a discharge hole 13 of an oil pump 2 and the case oil passage 21 are arranged to match with each other, and the oil pump 2 is fitted to a transmission case 20. A notch part 24 continuous from the inner peripheral surface of the large-diameter part 23 to the outer peripheral surface of a pedestal part 22 is formed in the radial direction outside from the large-diameter part 23. In the case wherein the discharge hole 13 and the case oil passage 21 are communicated with each other in the condition wherein the O-ring 25 is not fitted in the large-diameter part 23, oil pressure passed through the discharge hole 13 leaks from the notch part 24. In the condition wherein the O-ring 25 is not assembled, oil positively leaks from the notch part 24 and oil pressure inside the oil passage does not rise, and a failure that the O-ring 25 is left as it is not assembled can be easily detected.
