Title:
OIL PASSAGE STRUCTURE OF ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3856247
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the metal mold of a first case and facilitate a processing work by installing an oil supply passage for supplying oil from an oil pump to each oil passage in a crank case wall body and forming the oil supply passage in only the second case side of the crank case.
SOLUTION: An oil unit member combined an oil pump with an oil filter integrally is mounted on the oilpan part of the crank case lower part of a transverse type engine. A groove 141a around the journal part of the crankshaft is communicated with a groove 142a formed around the journal part of the front side of a balancer 17 through an oil supply passage 46b formed in the wall body of a case 47. This groove 142a can further send/supply the oil to the groove 142b around a balancer journal part by communicating with the oil passage 34 through an oil port 34a. The oil is supplied to a cam by communicating the oil pipe 130 installed in front of the case 47 with the oil passage 134 installed on the axial center of the cam shaft 11.
