Title:
OIL PRESSURE CONTROL MECHANISM FOR FRICTION CLUTCH
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS57154524
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the consumption of fuel, by providing a gear shifting detector and an oil pressure controller which reduces the regulated oil pressure of a hydraulic friction clutch in response to the operation of the detector and by disengaging the clutch when gear shifting is detected. CONSTITUTION:A gear shifting detector (not shown in the drawing), which measures the change in the revolution speed of a driven shaft 12 to regard a transmission gear mechanism as being under gear shifting when the measured change is more than a prescribed value, is provided in an electronic controller 46. When the transmission gear mechanism is regarded as being under gear shifting, pulses to be supplied from the electronic controller 46 to a solenoid valve 44 are made substantially zero to reduce the oil pressure of an oil passage 88 below a prescribed level through a valve element 126 to diminish regulated oil pressure through a friction clutch control valve 42 so that a friction clutch 8 is disengaged. According to this constitution, a fluid coupling is kept in the state of direct connection except during the gear shifting. Direct connection from a low speed stage is thus enabled to reduce the consumption of fuel.
