Abstract:
PURPOSE: To lessen loss in drive for an oil pump, and allow the amount of working oil required to be fed even when a prime mover is suspended.
CONSTITUTION: The oil pump drive device is made up of a pump driving electric motor 80, a first power transmitting mechanism 50 connecting the output shaft 81 of the electric motor 80 to the drive shaft 71a of an oil pump 70, a second power transmitting mechanism 60 connecting the output shaft of a prime mover to the drive shaft 75a of the oil pump 70, and of a drive selecting means selecting either one of the first and second power transmitting means 50 and 60. And the drive selecting means allows the first power transmitting mechanism 50 to be selected for allowing the oil pump 70 to be driven by the pump driving electric motor 80 when the revolutions of the output shaft of the prime mover is less than a specified one, and also allows the second power transmitting mechanism 60 to be selected for allowing the oil pump 70 to be driven by the prime mover when the revolutions of the output shaft of the prime mover is equal to or more than the specified revolution.
